about.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, super-mega-ultra-awesome-creative Jon Danovic

was fresh out of The Art Institute with an electronic news gathering career at Turner broadcasting staring him in the face. But this wasn’t a place of creation, California was. Across the country he went and landed his first gig editing for a start up company on the Jim Henson lot in Hollywood. With Kermit as a long time idle via a puppeteering side-career,

this was a truly magnificent, motivational and all-round typically "LA" sign of things to come.

Within a year he was poached by Carson Daly and co. over to NBC where he spent a few years revamping Last Call with Carson Daly’s typical late nite look into a more digital media docu-format. Jon’s love for music has always been at the helm and this was clear when he next directed and edited the feature length documentary film

“The Airborne Toxic Event: Live from Walt Disney Concert Hall” which made the short list for a Grammy in Music Documentary Film category. Record label involvement began and his relationship with Island, Interscope and Capital stuck around in the following years creating music videos and documentary films for The All-American Rejects, Lady Gaga, Phoenix, Andrew W.K., and more recently Little Mix, Guster and Ella Mai.

Currently freelancing as a director/editor with a focus in docu-style for companies like STX, Revelations, VICE, Chevy and Hulu, his skills in directing have a focus on a “controlled vérité” approach while executing an emotional and “real” feeling as accoladed by Rolling Stone, Billboard and Stereogum.

By overseeing editing on all of his projects, he makes sure the idea is executed as intended or better, thru-out.

He was also knighted by Paul McCartney.
